The organizing committee for Chief Master’s Celebration of Life has made the decision to indefinitely postpone the event that was scheduled for this coming Wednesday, December 22 at BCCRS.   This was done after consultation with experts.

The significant uptick in Covid cases in the Washington Metro area is a concern.  We know from conversations with MCFRS, Prince George’s County and DC Fire and EMS personnel that we are seeing evidence that COVID is again on the increase.  We have a responsibility to make sure we are holding a safe event for the participants and also one that does not risk future service levels through illness or quarantines.  We discussed mitigation techniques but felt they would hamper the ability to have a respectful event.  In the the end, the best decision is a postponement until we can hold a maskless event.

We will announce the rescheduling of this event once we can expect to host an event worthy of our esteem and respect for Chief Master.
