On Saturday morning, February 8th, RS741 was dispatched along with numerous units from MCFRS, NIH and Walter Reed, for a reported building fire on Rockledge Drive.  Several callers reported smoke coming from the roof of an office building.  Chief 741E also responded on the call.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke from the roof.  The rapid intervention dispatch, as well as a fire task force were quickly called for due to the conditions on arrival.  The four-person crew from RS741 conducted an initial search of the building, and helped force open doors so crews could access the roof of the building.  It was found that a chiller on the roof was on fire, and the fire was quickly contained.
