Fire Protection Engineer and BCCRS Battalion Chief Keith Stakes was recently awarded the International Society of Fire Services Instructors (@fireinstructors ) George D. Post Instructor of the Year Award. This award recognizes Keith’s tremendous dedication and contribution to improving the national fire service.

Keith found his passion for the fire and rescue service through affiliation with BCCRS and MCFRS. Keith first joined BCCRS as a junior member in 2006. In the 17 years since, Keith has been involved in training practically every firefighter at BCCRS and continues to lead improvement efforts in training and equipment.
