The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad provides professional, no-charge fire, rescue, and EMS service to Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Upper N.W. Washington.
We recognize Diane Pitts; BCCRS volunteer, Army officer, and Pentagon Fire Marshal. She is one of the many BCCRS volunteers who responded to the Pentagon on 9/11.
Watch her recount the poignant heroism of that day in an interview with @RepRaskin here:
20 years ago on 9/11 American Air Flight 77 crashed into the Pentagon, killing all 64 people on the plane & 125 people in the Pentagon. BCCRS units responded alongside many regional departments. We remember the lives lost & those that were forever changed. #NeverForget
