The morning of Sept 11, 2001, BCCRS Advanced Life Support (ALS) units , a heavy rescue truck, along with BCCRS air truck, were dispatched to the Pentagon. We continue to honor all firefighters, emergency responders, and civilians who lost their lives on that tragic fall day.

Sunday 8/30 at 1:05 pm , RS741B and PE706 were dispatched to a highrise in downtown Bethesda. PE706 quickly controlled the fire in the bedroom, the crew of RS741B did a search of the apartment for occupants, which was negative.
Update (8/30) 4885 Edgemoor Ln dispatched @ 113p for a Fire Alarm. @mcfrs crews located a bedroom fire on 1-th floor, contained/extinguished by residential sprinklers, little or no extension to other units. No injuries. Fire apt+ sprinkler water damage (4 apts) displaced 8 people

BCCRS partnered with the National Auto Body Council, to sponsor an advanced auto extrication program in Bethesda, MD. Firefighters practiced and honed skills on late model vehicles with lighter weight, high strength steels, sophisticated electronics and multiple airbag systems.
