Accident Victim Returns to Visit Rescuers
This past June, units from BCCRS were dispatched for a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle. Rescue Squad 741, Medic 741, and Chief 741 arrived to find two cyclists injured in a collision with a vehicle. Both patients were transported to Suburban Hospital, a local trauma center. Medic 741’s patient visited the squad on February 3rd, finding the entire crew (medic and rescue squad) who helped him that day. He thanked the crew and relayed that the staff at the hospital were very complimentary of the prehospital stabilization of what turned out to be a very significant hip injury.
