Christopher joined the Rescue Squad in 2010 after receiving a knock on his door by a Rescue Squad member during the annual Fund Drive. He was looking for a volunteer opportunity that would satisfy his desire to help people. Christopher joined Roving night crew and began the high level of training that had drawn him to the department. He became an EMT, a preceptor, and is in the process of becoming an Ambulance Driver.
Christopher has played an important role in several working incidents, including the delivery of a baby on the side of I-270. His display of clinical excellence and dedication to the Rescue Squad earned him the Rescue Squad’s 2014 EMT-B of the Year Award.
Christopher has worked as a cartographer (a map maker) for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Silver Spring for 20 years. He lives with his wife and son in Chevy Chase.
