Fire with a rescue in Bethesda

At 0540 hours, January 31, 2013, a Mont. Co. Fire/Rescue structure fire assignment was dispatched for a house on fire in the area of Lilly Stone Drive and Hamilton Spring Road. Company 10 (Cabin John) quickly arrived and found heavy fire coming from a single story family residence. A bystander advised E710 that someone was still in the house and was unable to escape. The crew from E710 made entry and located the victim as other units were arriving to begin suppressing the fire. RS741B's crew located E710's crew and assisted in removing the victim to safety. Once outside, A726 assumed patient care, the unit was upgraded to an advanced life support unit, the victim was transported to a local hospital. RS741B's crew immediately returned to the structure to complete the primary search for additional victims. None were found. RS741B then controlled utilities and assisted with overhaul before picking up and returning to service.
