bethesda chevy chase rescue squad

Just after 9am on the morning of January 21st, RS741 and M741 were dispatched to the 5400 block of Moorland Lane for the report of a house fire. RS741 was the first unit on the scene and reported smoke showing from the two story single-family home. The homeowners advised the crew of six BCCRS firefighters that they believed the fire was in the basement. The squad crew quickly made entry to the structure, beginning a systematic search, as well as assisting Engine 706 (Bethesda Fire Dept.) with finding the seat of the fire. After the searches were completed and negative, the squad crew assisted in opening up to check for extension. Crews operated for approximately 90 minutes before returning to service.
