Fred Burton: Ghost: Confessions
of a Counterterrorism Agent
Author Fred Burton, a leading expert in counterterrorism and corporate security, is returning to Bethesda. Before embarking on a long, distinguished career with the U.S. State Department Diplomatic Security Service, Mr. Burton grew up in Bethesda and served as a volunteer member of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad. Now, following publication of his remarkable book reflecting on a career in the cloak-and-dagger world of counterterrorism, Mr. Burton will lead an intimate discussion of global manhunts for some of the most notorious killers of our time. Following the author's discussion, refreshments will be served.
We hope you can join us for this remarkable evening.

Now in its 68th year, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad (BCCRS) is a philanthropically operated, community supported organization that provides, at no cost to the recipient, the highest level of emergency medical, ambulance, rescue, and fire services for the communities of Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Upper Northwest Washington, D.C.
Thanks to the generous donations of the community, the efforts of 150 professionally trained volunteers, a staff of daytime employees, and 2 Montgomery County Paramedics, BCCRS has evolved into one of the nation's most advanced and best trained rescue squads, providing compassionate, lifesaving services to the community. BCCRS does not receive regular appropriated funds from any government. Instead, BCCRS raises almost all of its $1.9 million operating budget from individual donors, foundations, businesses, and occasional state and federal grants. BCCRS is registered under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
