Rescue Squad 19
Rescue Squad 19 is the older of the two heavy squads operated by BCCRS. It is a Simon-Duplex 8-person chassis with a Saulsbury non-walk-through body. It has an Amkus hydraulic rescue tool system (known by many as the "jaws of life") along with many other specialized fire and rescue tools. Rescue Squad 19 is dispatched on all vehicle collisions, structure fires, confined space rescues, and specialized rescue situations. It can also be dispatched in place of a truck company on automatic fire alarm dispatches. |
